REAL MADRID’S transfer plans are well under way despite Zinedine Zidane’s side winning La Liga and the Champions League last term. Express Sport brings you the latest news from the Bernabeu.

Manchester United have reportedly been handed a major boost in their bid to sign Real Madrid star James Rodriguez.

The Colombia international has been regularly linked with a move to Old Trafford with reports claiming the player is keen to make the move.

One thing that has complicated things, however, is the fact that Real are demanding £61million for him.

But Spanish outlet Diario Gol are reporting that Madrid boss Zinedine Zidane has urged president Florentino Perez to lower their demands.

Instead, Zidane thinks a bid of £53m should be accepted because Rodriguez is not part of his plans for next season.

Alvaro Morata could stay at Real Madrid if Cristiano Ronaldo leaves the club, reports claim.

Express Sport understands the Spain star is wanted at United to replace Zlatan Ibrahimovic and possibly Wayne Rooney.

But Diario Madrista claim the striker’s future all hinges on what Ronaldo chooses to do.

The 32-year-old supposedly wants to quit the Bernabeu after being accused of tax fraud by the authorities.

And, should he depart, Real would then build the team around Morata for next season

Real Madrid are set to sign Everton target Sandro Ramirez for £5million, according to reports.

The Malaga star is on the Toffees’ radar as they prepare for life without Romelu Lukaku after a campaign that saw him score 16 goals from 31 games.

But Spanish radio station Onda Cero have claimed the forward looks set to join Real instead.

He could be a replacement for Morata if the striker makes the move to the Premier League.
